Congratulations to Great Global Challenge Winners!
Kelly van Roy writes:
“This past week, I had the privilege of being a challenger in the Great Global Challenge with HexEx #hackerexchange on behalf of City, University of London. With my amazing team of Nilla Kumaran, Rahul Jain and Cindy C., we attended workshops across timezones and conducted market research on how best to develop a tech solution to this year’s challenge theme of “human rights in a post-truth world”.
A week before it started, I did not know exactly what to expect, but I was thrilled to find myself learning everything from business entrepreneurship to designing UI for apps. And to my team’s great surprise, we are humbled to have won 1st place in the competition!
Everyone had such great ideas and projects, and I am very excited to have taken part in such an amazing journey and to have met such wonderful people from around the world. A huge shoutout and thank you to everyone at #hackerexchange who made this possible, the wonderful judges who shared their expertise, and to my new role model, the amazing đ©đ»âđ» Jeanette Cheah. I’m so excited to see where this unexpected new journey will take me.”
