Lived Experience Advisory Group

We have established a Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG), made up of 12 members from various parts of England and Wales with personal lived experience of receiving mental health care under the Care Programme Approach (CPA) or Care and Treatment Planning (CTP) or of caring for someone with such an experience.

The LEAG is facilitated by Alison Faulkner, an experienced service user mental health researcher, and meets with the project team on a regular basis to discuss and explore aspects of the study and provide their expert advice and suggestions.

Already suggestions by the group have led to changes in the ethics application and the content of interview schedules to be used.

We aim to write more about and from the Lived Experience Advisory Group soon.
