Cecilia in Buenos Aires

Between December 2013 and January 2014 Dr Cecilia Dinardi undertook a fieldwork pilot visit to Buenos Aires, where she met with officers from the Government of the City of Buenos Aires (tourism and culture departments) as well as cultural practitioners, such as the Club Cultural Matienzo and the Circo Social del Sur. This first visit helped her test ideas and revise the research framework of her new project: Informal creative cities? Connecting urban cultural policies with grassroots interventions in Latin America’, to be developed over the next three years with funding from the Urban Studies Foundation. Cecilia’s work is supported by the Urban Studies Foundation; Cecilia has a 3 year post-doctoral fellowship, based at CCI.
