Congratulations to Dr Feyza Akinerdem!

Warm congratulations to Feyza Akinerdem who passed her PhD on Friday. Feyza conducted an ethnography of a Turkish reality TV show in which people solicit and meet potential marriage partners. The show is one of the longest running and most popular on Turkish TV and Feyza spent many months on the set in Istanbul, interviewing production staff, participants and audiences.

Feyza was supervised by Ros Gill and Gail Lewis (Birkbeck), and examined by Helen Wood (Leicester) and Jo Littler.
