Congratulations Dr De Benedictis!

Congratulations are due! Prof Ros Gill’s PhD student Sara de Benedictis was awarded her PhD yesterday with no corrections! Her thesis looked at birth on television, exploring the meaning and impact of reality/factual hybrids like One Born Every Minute. Sara’s thesis was examined by two brilliant sociologists: Professor Bev Skeggs and Professor Steph Lawler who commended the work for its originality, methodological innovation and contribution to knowledge. Huge congratulations to Dr de Benedictis, who has had a big week as she also started her post-doc at Nottingham today. Well done Sara!
