Kate Mattocks speaks at a seminar on the European Union’s cultural open method of coordination (OMC)
On Tuesday 21 June, department PhD researcher Kate Mattocks spoke at a seminar on the European Union’s cultural open method of coordination (OMC) at Maastricht University’s Centre for European Law. Kate was invited by Dr Evangelia Psychogiopoulou, a Marie Curie Fellow at Maastricht, working on OPENCULT, a project about EU cultural cooperation in the form of the OMC.
Evangelia began by presenting the results of her project, and Kate acted as a discussant afterwards, basing her talk on the findings from her PhD research. A vibrant discussion on the OMC’s effectiveness and operation concluded the afternoon.
