Summer school in Barcelona

Andy Pratt was one of the speakers at the the HEC Montreal summer school on the management of creativity in an innovation society. This is the 9th year that the event has taken place and it involves a week in Montreal, and a week in Barcelona. Previously Andy has contributed to the Montreal week a couple of times, this year he contributed to the Barcelona week. His contribution was on Fashion Hubs and innovation. The presentation drew upon a case study from the Creative Works Project on a fashion hub in London, and on work Andy is currently doing for another AHRC project on creative industries in the former London Olympic Park. The whole day of the summer school was hosted in the new design museum in Barcelona (see main picture) the Disseny Hub. Roll on the 10th super anniversary summer school which will include not only Montreal and Barcelona but Berlin as well! Andy was glad to meet up with the whole course team, but particularly long term friends and colleagues Larent Simon and Partrick Cohendet from HEC Montreal and Montserrat Pareja Eastaway from Barcelona University.
