Andy vists Singapore

Andy was invited to give a keynote lecture at NUS Singapore, the event “Remapping Arts, Heritage and Cultural Production: Between Policies and Practices in East and Southeast Asian Cities “ took place 16-17 August 2017 at the Asia Research Institute, National University of Singapore . Andy’s keynote was entitled ‘Challenging the ‘culture and the city’ hypothesis.

Andy- as editor of City, Culture and Society- encouraged the younger participants to prepare a potential special issue of the journal on the topics covered. Andy had some other useful meetings with museum and gallery directors in Singapore. 

He was also invited to give a lecture at the Singapore Management University (see picture) by colleagues who run an MA programme on Arts Management. Andy has been invited by the Vice Chancellor of SMU to visit next year and advise them on development of the MA.
