Matias’s funding success!

Matías A. Muñoz Hernández – PhD candidate in Cultural Policies at City, University of London, and internally funded with a fee waiver – was recently awarded a scholarship of £25,000.

The funding source, which is called ´Becas Chile Crea 2019´, is provided by the Chilean Ministry of Culture. See

Thesis title: Collaborative Funding Mechanisms for the Arts Sector in Chile and the Global South.

Matías was awarded the highest financial contribution and the highest application mark (100 points).

Undoubtedly, this grant helps Matías to continue developing his research.

This is a great achievement, which would not have been possible without Matías’s excellent work as well as the fantastic support provided by his First Supervisor, Prof. Andy Pratt.
