Andy Pratt contributes to World Bank/UNESCO seminar on Creative CIties
This week, Prof Andy Pratt was an expert reviewer, and respondent, at a joint seminar held (virtually) in Washington DC by the World Bank and UNESCO. The subject was a report on Cities, Creativity and Culture that aims to act as a position paper for future cooperation, and policy formation, on this topic. The report takes stock of the current status of the creative city; a topic all the more urgent and relevant in pandemic (and hopefully post-pandemic/recovery) times. Andy works extensively with UNESCO, and has previously advised the World Bank on these issues; as well as contributing to seminal reports for other UN organisations such as UNCTAD (the trade body) and WIPO (the intellectual property body).
