On Monday July 11th Ros Gill and Shani Orgad presented their joint work on

the cult of confidence at a one day conference on Grit,

Governmentality & the Erasure of Inequality? The Curious Rise of Character

Education Policy. This brilliant event, co-organised by Kim Allen and Anna

Bull, included presentations by Erica Burman, Brian McShane, Nick Taylor,

Kirsty Morrin and Erica Burman, and thoughtful reflections by Janet

Batsleer and Val Gillies.
