Three stages in the life of the creative economy
John Newbigin has just revised and updated his Guide to the Creative Economy booklet for the British Council; Prof Andy Pratt is one of the international experts who contributed to this document. It’s an update of a booklet that John wrote for the British Council 5 years ago which has been translated into half a dozen languages and is still referred to around the world. Like the original, this updated online version is intended for people who may not know very much about current thinking round the creative economy but want to know more – which is why we have included lots of links to other sources of information and, of course, your essays and contact details. The British Council hope that the range of perspectives in the essays bring will encourage other contributions from around the world so that this becomes a more dynamic and iterative source of information and ideas.
