Postfeminist culture: 10 years on

Rosalind Gill’s Postfeminist Media Culture: Elements of a Sensibility – published in 2007 – is apparently the most read and most  cited  article in the European Journal of Cultural studies. To honour that Ros was asked to write a new lead article for the 20^th anniversary issue of the journal and also to launch a new ‘dossier’ of important work on postfeminism. The new article reflects on how postfeminism is much harder to recognise as a distinctive sensibility today, but also shows how it has intensified, operating through emotions and psychic life as well as a culturally.  http://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/1367549417733003
