Jenny Mbaye at the LSE Africa Summit 2018
On April 21st, Dr Jenny Mbaye was invited to moderate a panel on ‘Creative Industries’ at the Africa Summit 2018 taking place at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Directly following the opening keynote of H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana, the interactive panel welcomed contributions from pioneer entrepreneurs across cultural and creative sectors of the African continent: Tara Fela-Durotoye (CEO, House of Tara; beauty industry sector); Emmanuela Gregorio (African Development Bank’s ‘fashioneconomics’ initiative); Bolanle Austen-Peters (CEO & Founder, Terra Kulture; performing arts sector); Kanyi Dhlomo (CEO and Co-Founder, Ndalo Media; publishing sector); and Yoel Kenan (founder and CEO of digital music distributor AFRICORI; music sector).
The LSE Africa Summit is a student-led and organised annual two-day conference that engages policymakers, business leaders and researchers in discussion on solutions to Africa’s most pressing issues.
