Ana Gaio on Decolonising Cultural Management ENCATC congress
A panel organised and chaired by Ana Gaio on ‘Decolonising Cultural Management’ took place yesterday 4th November at the ENCATC’s Digital Congress (3-11 November 2020). ENCATC is the European Network on Cultural Management and Policy Education, and Ana serves as Vice-President of ENCATC. The panel was part of the Global Conversations series organised by ENCATC and its sister US-based network AAAE which take place at their respective annual conferences. At a time when the issue of decolonisation of HE has reignited across the globe we felt that it was essential at this point in time for the community of cultural management educators to reflect on our current practices – pedagogies, curricula, not least in the context of global, multi-cultural student markets – and the direction of travel going forward. This is clearly a ‘Conversation’ to be continued but you can access Ana’s concept note by clicking here and then on ‘Keynote: Global Conversations: Decolonising…’.
