City University Library will be launching a new search discovery tool later in the year. Web scale discovery services are a tool with major potential to transform the nature of library systems. These services are capable of searching quickly and seamlessly across a vast range of local and remote content and providing relevancy-ranked results. Examples of web scale discovery tools include: Primo Central, Ebsco Discovery Service and Summon. The product at City will be branded and renamed but is the Summon interface.
