Current User Journey – Digital Dosette Box
User Journey is a part of the user research process. User Journey shows interactions with the different touchpoints, without going into much detail. It helped in capturing a specific sequence of actions through a visual representation of achieving the goal to remember to take the medicines through a dosette box.
Conceptual Design – Digital Dosette Box
This is the part of the Interaction design process. These are the different alternative designs which are high level. They envision all the user’s future activities from different perspectives in using the digital dosette box. All the different alternates are designed keeping good usability and positive user experience in mind. These prototypes helped in knowing different ways of achieving user goal and create a successful detailed design.
Hierarchical Task Analysis – Digital Dosette Box
The Hierarchical Task Analysis(HTA) was part of the user research process. It was mainly designed focusing on the primary knowledge about the existing systems and activities.
In this graphical representation of task analysis, the starting point consists of the user goal. It consists of, to remember to take the medicine and access the medicines from the dosette box. Further, it consists of all the tasks performed by the user to achieve the main goal and then into sub-tasks and so on.
It provided a good understanding of the interaction and at whichever level of abstraction it is appropriate.

Requirements – Digital Dosette Box
Requirement specifications was the last part of our user research process. It invloved refinement of all the high level requirements to detail, precise requirements. These included in all division of categories as fucntional, usability goals, user experience goals, environmental and data.
This helped us further as our first step towards sketching design of the dosette box.
Persona – Digital Dosette Box
Creating personas was included in our user research process of using user data. We created persona based on some realistic facts for the person who intakes medicines. It was based on study about how important it is for the person to take the medicines on regular basis. We considered older age group people for the usage of digital dosette box. The process included understanding, what exactly users need from a dosette box, the aim behind using it. It also considered, where exactly they need it or use it. Also, what are some of the problems faced by the users. Eventually, the persona designed was an outcome of data analysis that was through focusing on drawing patterns of participant characteristics.
This description of the user’s attitudes, skills, tasks and environment helped us in observing, what users actually need instead of what users think they actually need from a dosette box.
