Widening Participation Project Officer
Who are you?
I’m Sharmin, a Projects Officer in the WP Team at City.
What do you do?
I run our Taster Weeks programme with Zena organising week-long visits to City for year 9, 10 and 12’s to give an insight into specific subjects, such as Psychology, Engineering or Nursing.
What’s the best part of your job?
I love seeing all the young people ‘graduate’ at the end of each taster week having learnt lots about a new subject, developed new skills and made new friends with students from other schools!
How long have you been at City?
6 years!
Tell us a bit about yourself
I love travelling, eating out and attempting to bake. Some of these things have become a lot harder now that I have a one year old, Noah, who keeps me very busy!
