The UK Independent music sector – Doing it for ourselves!

Last Wednesday Debbie Dickinson teamed up with Harry Leckstein CEO of Tileyard Education (a creative cluster complex at Kings Cross) and hosted a one day event at City.

The event brought together a complete cross section of the UK independent music sector to discuss the nature and growth of DIY artist development, production and live music with a focus on the impact of new technology on the sector.

Over 100 people attended including students, musicians and key players in the independent sector. The day featured key note speakers, panel discussions, networking, workshops and an after show party with live music including CCI students Evelyn Cools and Kate Jillings.

It was a terrific event with many of the delegates saying it was one of the best industry days ever!
