ESRC Consumption ethics event
The ESRC Ethics in Consumption: Interdisciplinary Perspectives seminar series held its concluding event at Birkbeck on 14 September. The environmentalist Jonathan Porritt spoke first, arguing that ‘consumerism is the enemy of ethical consumption’. After UCL Anthropology Professor Daniel Miller had shared his thoughts an interdisciplinary panel discussion featuring speakers from the seminar series debated the issues raised.
