Global cultural production chains

Andy Pratt, Marianna D’Ovidio and Robert Kloosterman who are running the Horizon 2020 project ‘Cicerone’ cultural production chains organised a special session at the annual conference of the Royal Geographical Society in London this week. The session had two parts, the first consisted of examples of cultural production chains in Fashion, Film, Publishing and Music (Andy presented his work on music production chains between West Africa and Europe). The second session consisted of a theoretical and methodological panel addressing the challenges of developing this sort of work. The session was organised by the Cicerone team as a means of ‘open sourcing’ debate at an early stage of reserach.
