Welcome Dr Ayce Ince Onkal

CCI is happy to welcome Ayca Ince Onkal on to the team. Ayce will be teaching on AMM429, the core module Culture of the MA CPM. Ayce received an MSc from London School of Economics and Political Sciences, and an MA in Sociology and a PhD in 2012 both from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She has 15 years of professional academic experience in cultural policy and arts management. Her most recent post was in MA Arts Policy and Management at Birkbeck.

Ayca’s research focuses on understanding of the interactions between cultural institutions and audiences against the backdrop of significant political and social changes. Her research builds on her practice as facilitator and mentor for diverse actors and organisations within the public, commercial and voluntary sectors to improve their positioning in the arts and culture scene vis-à-vis their contribution to cultural democracy/ democratisation of culture.
