MA CPM Alumni Clelia Calabro to win a prize with her Entrepikit

On September 23rd, former MA CPM student Clelia Calabro won the prestigious Singapreneur prize for best business start up idea, along with seed funding. Her Entreprekit is an online course designed to teach young people entrepreneurial skills.

While choosing the elective module ‘Digital Product Innovation’ led by Patrick Brindle (Journalism/Publishing), Clelia designed for her final assessment a first proof of concept of the educational project Entrepikit – a digital game to teach teenagers how to develop entrepreneurial skills.

Very few startups survive the first stage and make it to the market, however this project is  moved by the urgency to create a safe space for creativity and to design a more equal horizon of opportunities for everyone. The goal of this business goes beyond teaching entrepreneurial thinking, and it looks at empowering the young generations to build their future and make an impact in the world.

City Uni is highly committed to the success of its students, making sure they are exposed to fresh, international exchange at any level. When joining MA CPM (2016-17), Clelia immediately familiarized with this part of the offer at City and paralleled her study with an internship at the LCI, the university business incubator, where she could pursue her passion for impact in the startup ecosystem.

This grant comes at a moment where further effort is required, with additional training, talent, ideas. But for as long as this urgency for change is alive, this project will move its steps forward, carrying along all the beautiful memories of its first days at City Uni.
