Open Educational Resources (OERs) are teaching and learning materials that you may freely use and reuse, without charge. Open Educational Resources are different from other resources as they may have been given limited or unrestricted licensing rights. That means they have been authored or created by an individual or organisation that chooses to retain few, if any, ownership rights. OERs often have a Creative Commons license that state specifically how the material may be used, reused, adapted, and shared.
An example of an OER for research students is: Ready to Research. Resources include: videos, blogs, audio and interactive learning objects. Topics include Metrics and data management and Establishing an online academic identity.
