  1. I would like to know what are the differences between the MSc Actuarial Science and the MSc Actuarial Management course? In other words, are there any differences in entry requirements regarding to the skills student need in order to attend the courses?

    • Hi Wendy, thanks for your comment and interest in our courses! That is a good question.

MSc in Actuarial Science covers the fundamentals of actuarial science and enables students to gain exemptions from the first stage of the examinations of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (Core Technical – CT subjects), whereas the MSc in Actuarial Management focuses on the practical application of these skills and enables students to gain exemptions from the second and third stages of the examinations of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (Core Applications – CA subjects and Specialist Technical – ST subjects). Essentially, completion of an actuarial science degree is considered as a pre-requisite for entry to the MSc in Actuarial Management.

If you have any further queries about these two courses, please do not hesitate to contact the admissions officer for MSc Actuarial Science and MSc Actuarial Management, Eva Matiaskova – her contact details can be found on our website – http://www.cass.city.ac.uk/courses/masters/contact-us. I hope this helps!

  2. I would like to know that after I submit the online application form, will I receive a conditional letter then I will send my supporting documents for the unconditional letter ?

    • Hi Ngoc, thanks for your question! You must upload your documents when you apply online, including the (interim) degree transcript, CV and personal statement. If you are made an offer we would then require the original or a certified version of your final degree documents to be sent to us by post as soon as you have them. If applicable, we would also need to verify your IELTS and GMAT scores, and receive two references (if not already received).
      I hope this helps.

  3. hi! i want to ask something.
    1. If i accept in CASS, i will get the LoA letter right? my question is, if i get the letter on August 2016 but i planned to take the course on Sep 2017, do i have to re-apply? or the LoA from August 2016 will be enough? because i have to submit the LoA this year to get a scholarship next year
    2. i want to apply for Magister of Risk Management and insurance course, do i have to full filled GMAT?
    Thank you

    • Hi Ratu
Thanks for your question! If you got an offer last year for 2016 intake but you did not accept it or officially defer it to 2017 intake, you will need to reapply for 2017 intake. Your application will be reassessed. If you have any queries about this please contact the admissions officer.
The GMAT is not a compulsory entry requirement for any of our courses, but if you wish to enhance your application then a score of at least 600 might help.
      I hope this helps!

  4. Hello,
I would like to know whether it is possible to hand in the results of the IELTS-Test later, after the application. Unfortunately I got caught up in studying for the GMAT so that I forgot to take care of the IELTS Test and now i found out that it takes up to 2 weeks to get the results for the IELTS. Next week I will take the GMAT and i wanted to apply for one or two of your MSc’s immidiately afterwards. So i wil be able to take the IELTS in two weeks time. So is that a problem?

    • Hi Florian, thanks for your question!
You can submit your application without the IELTS score report. If you are made an offer, and the IELTS is a condition of the offer, you can send us the score report later.
I hope this helps – good luck in both the GMAT and IELTS tests!

  5. Hi,
I have failed the application before and did not make a second choice when I was filling that application form. Should I create a new account if I decide to apply for another programme with new materials?

    • Hi Ann, thanks for your question! If your initial application was for the same intake (i.e. 2017 intake), please do not submit a new application form – you just need to write a new personal statement for your second choice and send it, along with any additional documents you feel would enhance your application, to the admissions officer for the new course you would like to be considered for. We will retrieve your original application file and use the same application documents, but we will replace the old personal statement with the new one.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further queries.

  6. Hi! When are the applications opening in 2017 for the 2018 intake of postgraduate courses ?

    • Hi Tina
Thanks for your question! We will probably be opening applications for 2018 intake around November 2017. Please keep an eye on our website around that time to check for further updates.
      I hope this helps.

  7. Hi, I am applying rather last minute for the Msc in Management and have 2 questions:
    1. I do not have my copy of the Degree certificate and i am not sure how quickly I can get one. I do have my transcript, is there an equivalent version of something I can attach instead of the degree certificate?
    2. I haven’t done the GMAT tests as I have not had time. I understand that if I got an offer it would most likely be on condition of a GMAT score. But while I’m doing the application, do I just leave the area blank?
    Thanks,

    • Hi Francesca
Thanks for your question! When you apply we don’t necessarily need to see the degree certificate, but we must receive the degree transcript (showing your grades for all modules throughout your degree). If your final degree classification/grade is not shown on the degree transcript, please ensure that it is somewhere else in your application (such as your CV). The GMAT is not compulsory when applying, so you can leave that section of the application form blank.
I hope this helps. Good luck with your application!

  8. Hello, My name is Ama from Ghana. English is our official (first) language. Do I need to provide the IELTS score report ?
I intend to apply for the MSc Actuarial Science 2018/9

    Thanks

    • Hi Ama, thanks for your question!

If you have previously studied for at least three years in the UK, or another majority English-speaking country (as defined by the UKVI), we can normally waive the IELTS requirement. However, if you have not previously studied in a majority English-speaking country you will need to take the IELTS test as Ghana is not included in the UKVI’s list of majority English-speaking countries. For a list of countries that are included, please see here – http://www.cass.city.ac.uk/study/masters/apply/entry-requirements.

In the IELTS we look for at least 7.0 overall, with at least 6.5 in writing and no less than 6.0 in any other section. You can submit an application without the IELTS score report, and if you are made an offer the IELTS would be a condition of the offer. You would then have until around June to submit the IELTS score report to us.

I hope this helps. We will be accepting applications for 2018 intake from around this November onwards.

      MSc Admissions Team

      • hello, sir. I would like to study in business analytics. If I cannot meet the requirement of IELTS, such as 6.5(with at least 6.0 in any section), can I choose to attend pre-sessional course? How long I need to take?

        • Hi Vincent
Thanks for your question! There is no guarantee at this stage that we will be offering a pre-sessional English course, so please try your best to meet our IELTS requirements of 7.0 overall, 6.5 in writing, and no less than 6.0 in any other section. If we do run a pre-sessional English course it is offered on an invite-only basis (although candidates who have met our IELTS requirements are still welcome to sign up), and it normally runs for four weeks in late summer. I recommend that you aim to meet our IELTS requirements by June.
          I hope this helps!
          Kind regards

  9. Hello, I am currently graduating on December 2017 from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a Bachelor of Science in International Management. I am currently interested in applying to a couple of your Msc Programmes, and I would like to know if there is any minimum US GPA requirement to be eligible ?

    Kind Regards

    • Hi Charif
Thanks for your question! We normally require at least GPA 3.3/4 in degrees from universities in the United States. The admissions panel will be looking for high grades in the most relevant modules, and they also take into account the standing of the institution.
We will be accepting applications for 2018 intake from around November onwards, and you will be able to upload your degree transcript when you apply, along with the other necessary supporting documents.
      I hope this helps!

  10. Hello, I would like to apply for 2018/19 Marketing strategy and innovation in November, I have two questions.
Firstly, I have not yet got my grades of third years in that time, but I only get 2:2 in my second year at the university of Manchester. I am sure I can get 2:1 in third year.
Secondly, my subject is fashion marketing, it focus on fashion rather than marketing.
So, I want to know whether I have a eligible to apply postgraduate of Marketing strategy and Innovation?

    • Hi Alice, thanks for your question!
If you feel that your grades will improve in your third year, we recommend that you wait until you have some final year grades before you submit your application (so probably from around March onwards, when you have results from your first term). Please upload your transcript from your first two years of study, and an interim transcript showing the grades achieved to date in your third year.
If you have studied three marketing modules or fewer in your undergraduate degree then you will be suitable for our MSc in Marketing Strategy and Innovation. The best way for us to assess your suitability is for you to submit an application so that the admissions panel can review your full application. We should be accepting applications for 2018 intake from around November onwards.
I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any further queries.
      Kind regards

  11. Hello. I have taken the IELTS a few months back. How can I submit my score?

In addition to the photocopy of the test report, will I be required to submit an Additional Test Report electronically for verification?
Or would the Test Report Form Number suffice?

    Thank you.

    • Hi Tina
Thanks for getting in contact! When you apply online there will be a section within the application form where you can upload your IELTS score report. At the application stage you just need to upload a scan of the official score report with the Test Report Form number – we can use this number to verify the IELTS score online. If we need any further documents we will contact you at that time.
We are now open for 2018 applications – https://www.cass.city.ac.uk/study/masters/apply/online
      I hope this helps!
      Kind regards

  12. Hi Officer,
I am working on my online application for the MSc marketing and strategy and innovation program. There is an option to upload the high school transcript in the application form. Need I submit the high school transcript as an international student who finish the high school out of UK?

    • Hi Lily
Thanks for your question! We do not normally need to see your high school documents, so you can leave that section blank. If the admissions panel require this information we will let you know at the processing stage. It is important, though, to upload your degree documents. If you have not yet completed your degree please upload your transcripts to date and, ideally, a list of the modules you will be taking in your final year of study.
      I hope this helps!
      Kind regards

  13. Hi,i’im Agyeiwaa. I would like to know if a certified true copy of my degree certificate will be needed as part of the supporting documents. Thanks

    • Hi Agyeiwaa
Thanks for your question! When you apply online you do not need to send us any original documents at that stage of the process. You will be able to upload your degree transcript and certificate in the application form. However, if you are made an offer on a course, we will need you to post us your original or a certified version of your final degree transcript/certificate at that time.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further queries!
      Kind regards

  14. Hello Team,

I can’t upload my exams results in the ‘other qualifications’ section as shown in the ppt.
The ‘choose file’ button is not there. Should I email them to the admissions team or upload them in some other section?

Filling it for MSc in Corporate Finance.

    Thanks!

    • Hi Salman
Thanks for your query! I’m sorry to hear that you were not able to upload the file in the ‘other qualifications’ section. You can upload the document in another section of the form. Alternatively, you can email it directly to your Admissions Officer after you have submitted the application online.
      I hope this helps!
      Kind regards

  15. Hello Team,
I am interested in the Msc Quantitative Finance which in the application requirements makes no mention of the GMAT or the GRE. Since I have taken the GRE test recently (and scored quite well), would it be worth it to include the test scores in my application?
    Thanks in advance.

    • Hi Manos
Thanks for your question! The GMAT/GRE is not a compulsory entry requirement for any of our courses. However, if you have a good score please feel free to upload your test results when you apply online.
      I hope this helps.
      Kind regards

        thanks!

        • Hi Sanjay
Thanks for your question! You can upload your GRE score report in the GMAT section, or in any of the other upload fields.
          I hope this helps!

  16. Hi admissions team

Is it possible for my referee to send references in a word document using their their professional or university email address to Cass Admissions team ?

My second question is whether the GMAT is required for the Msc in business analytics?

    Kind Regards

    • Hi Youness
Thanks for your question! Ideally the reference should be written on headed paper, but we will accept it as a Word document as long as it has been emailed directly to us from the referee’s academic email account, and we are able to verify that email account (normally through the university’s website).
The GMAT is not a compulsory entry requirement for any of our MSc degrees, but if you wish to enhance your application you can submit a GMAT score when you apply. We are normally looking for a total score of at least 600.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further queries!
      Kind regards
      MSc Admissions Team

  17. Hi!

If my referee wants to submit a hard copy of recommendation letter, will they fill out the recommendation template given by Cass or write a letter on the University letterhead?

    Thanks!

    • Hi Tina
Thanks for your question! If your referee wishes to supply the reference by post, they should write the letter on university letterhead, and they should sign the letter. The letter should then be placed in an envelope that the referee has sealed and signed across the seal, to ensure confidentiality. The letter can be posted to us at 106 Bunhill Row, London EC1Y 8TZ, UK.
      I hope this helps!
      Kind regards
      MSc Admissions Team

  18. Thanks for your response! And where might I find my ‘Student Number ?

    • Hi Tina
If you have already submitted an application, your student number will be provided in a confirmation email, and in all subsequent correspondence from the admissions officer. If you have not yet submitted an application, I recommend that you do so before the referees send their references to us. This will ensure that we are able to match your references with your application when they arrive.
      I hope this helps!
      MSc Admissions Team

  19. Hello.

I have previously been to UK with the C – Visit Visa (Multiple Entry, Duration of 180 days)

Which VISA type would this correspond to in the list provided by Cass with regard to ‘Previous Entry to UK’?
I cannot seem to find a ‘Visitor Visa’ in the list.
    Thanks!

    • Hi Ayesha
Thanks for your question! If this is regarding a question on the application form then we do not need to know about C – Visit Visas. You will be able to mention the visit visa on the immigration history form that you will be sent when your application is acknowledged.
      I hope this helps.
      Kind regards
      MSc Admissions Team

  20. Hello.

I am willing to apply for an Insurance and Risk Management MSc course in this Summer and I have an average of 7.0 in IELTS score with 6.5 in writing(all sections above 6.5)
I’ve heard from a previous student who had studied at CASS that some might take pre-sessional English course if IELTS score is low. I’d like to know what is the criterion for this pre course.

And if English score is not high enough do i need to take another IELTS to have a higher chance to get an admission?

    • Hi Jenny
Thanks for your question! Our IELTS requirements are 7.0 overall, with 6.5 in writing, and no less than 6.0 in any other section. If you require a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK, the IELTS test should have been taken within two years of the date you receive your CAS. We do offer a Pre-Sessional English course to offer-holders under certain circumstances. Offer-holders are advised to contact their Admissions Officer for further details.
      I hope this helps!

  21. Hi admissions team!

I am about to apply for the 2019 MSc Marketing Strategy and Innovation degree and want to use GMAT score to enhance my application. But the score of my last exam is not high enough(660), so currently I am still preparing for the next GMAT exam at the end of November. So I want to ask can I submit my application and the 660 GMAT score first, then re-submit a higher GMAT score later when I got the result of the exam?

Looking forward to your reply, thanks!

    • Hi Julie
Thanks for your question! The GMAT is not a compulsory requirement for any of our degrees, but if an applicant has taken the test we would normally be looking for at least 600. You are therefore welcome to submit your current score of 660 when you submit your application online, and you can supply a higher score later if you feel it is necessary.

As a general note, once the main documents for decision making have been received, the admissions panel will review applications with whatever documents are present at the time of their review. Therefore, if supplementary documents are sent to us later there is no guarantee that the admissions panel will see them if their review takes place before those documents arrive.

      I hope this helps!

      Kind regards
      MSc Admissions Team

      • Thank you for the response! I also want to ask about the mark scheme. I am in Australia and my university applies GPA 1-7 (‘Pass’ to ‘High Distinct’), but I did not find the match options in the application page, could you tell me which one should I choose? Thank you very much!

        • Hi Julie
Thanks for letting us know – I’m sorry that the relevant grading scheme is not listed on the application form. If your university also uses another grading system, such as a percentage system, please input that instead. In any case we can enter the correct details at our end after you have submitted your application along with the degree transcript.
          I hope this helps!
          Kind regards
          MSc Admissions Team

  22. Hello, I am concerned that I might exceed the time limit for Tier 4 visa if I apply for a 12 month MSc at Cass. I have previously done my undergrad and another master’s in the UK, with leave totalling to 56 months. Given that time (4 months) is normally added on to the leave on a Tier 4 Visa, that would take my total leave on a Tier 4 to 72 months, over 5 years 11 months (71 months) limit. Would it be possible for a shorter Visa to be granted in such a case – given that the course itself is only 12 months, which if completed in the stipulated period will allow me to fulfil the 71 month stay limit.

    Many thanks,
    Nick

    • Hi Nick
Thanks for your question! As you state, there is currently a cap on studies in the UK for Tier 4 visa holders. If there is an overlap in visa dates, that time is not double-counted.
Please also note that there are immigration rules on progression from one UK Master’s degree to another, so your application would need to be assessed from an immigration point of view as well as an academic one.
Unfortunately we would not be able to comment on your individual situation as we would need to see all the relevant documents. I would recommend that you contact our visa advice team on visaadvice@city.ac.uk, and they will be able to give you some more information on the cap and progression issues.
I hope this helps, and please let us know if you have any further queries.
      Kind regards

  23. Hello.
I do not have my copy of the High school certificate and i am not sure how quickly I can get one. Could it be a problem?

    • Hi Stefania
Thanks for your question! We normally do not need to see high school results, so please feel free to submit your application without this document. If the admissions panel request to see the document your admissions officer will let you know.
      I hope this helps!
      Kind regards
      MSc Admissions Team

  24. Hi,

I am applying for pg in us and I have scored overall 7.5 in IELTS, two sections are 8 and one is 7 however, writing is only 6, would my application be rejected or do I still have an opportunity?

    Thanks

    • Hi Tina
Thanks for your question! I am not quite sure what you mean when you write that you are applying for a postgraduate degree in us. If you are applying for a postgraduate degree at Cass Business School we do normally require at least 7.0 overall, 6.5 in writing, and no less than 6.0 in any other section. The admissions panel will review your whole application and if you are made an offer on the course it might be conditional upon you retaking the IELTS to meet our requirements.
I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any further queries.
      Kind regards

  25. Hi,
I want to apply for msc in investment and wealth,
Do I require any working experience for that and is it compulsion to have experience in finance sector only ?

    • Hi Reeya
Thanks for your question and interest in Cass Business School! I’m afraid we do not have a programme MSc Investment and Wealth. You can find our courses listed here – https://www.cass.city.ac.uk/study/masters/courses. Please could you let us know which one you are interested in?
      Kind regards
      MSc Admissions Team

  26. Hi,

I would like to apply for the MSc Finance programme at Cass Business School. Based on the requirement, it seems that I have to provide two reference letters. As I have already received two reference letters from my professor, so can I upload them directly on Cass online application system or I need to provide the detailed information of my two referees and Cass Business School will send them emails to let them provide me with references online?

    Thank you!

    • Hi Xueyan
Thanks for your question! References must be confidential, so if they have been uploaded by you onto our application system they will be void. During the online application process you can input the professional/academic email address of two referees. We will then contact them automatically with instructions on how they can send their confidential reference directly to us.
      I hope this helps!
      Kind regards

  27. I want to apply for a MSc in Management at your institution and i was wondering when applications are opeing since i couldnt find the exact date.

    • Dear Mehmet
Thanks for your question! We will be accepting applications for September 2020 intake from around November onwards. Please check our website again at that time for further details. Updated tuition fees will also be posted on the website when they are available.
I hope this helps, and we look forward to receiving your application.
      Kind regards

  28. Hi

l would like to know if l have submit one course application, could l apply another course ? And another question is when l start my course, but if l find it does not suite me, could l change the course ?

    Many Thanks

    • Hi Yuqi

Thanks for getting in contact! You must only submit one application form, which should be for your first choice course. On the application form you can nominate up to two other courses, in order of preference. If your application is not successful for your first choice your application will be considered for the second choice course, and so on. If we require a new personal statement for the second choice course we will contact you. If your application is successful for your first choice course, your application will not be considered for any further courses (unless you specifically request it).

It is normally not possible to change degree course after the course has started. If you are an international student who requires a Tier 4 visa to study, your CAS is issued during the summer for the course on which you must register. It is therefore really important that you do as much research as possible before you submit your application to ensure that you are applying for the course that is most suitable for you.

I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any further queries.

      Kind regards
      MSc Admissions Team

  29. Dear Team,

I plan to apply to the MSc. in Finance course at Cass Business School. I wish to ask that do the references need to be both professional or one academic and one professional.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Anoushka

    • Dear Anoushka
Thanks for your question! If you are still studying, or completed your studies within the past couple of years, at least one reference must be academic. If you finished studying over two years ago we can accept two professional references.
I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any further queries.
      Kind regards
      MSc Admissions Team

  30. Good day.

I am an international student, Korean, considering to apply for a master course and I found on your web site that it requires an IELTS score. I would like to know if I submit an IBT TOFLE score instead.

    Thanks.

    • Would you please also let me know if I can submit a TOEIC score instead of IELTS.

      Thanks best regards.

      • Hi Woosong
Thanks for your question. I’m afraid we do not accept the TOEIC test – only the IELTS, PTE and TOEFL.
        I hope this helps!
        Kind regards
        MSc Admissions

    • Dear Woosong
Thanks for your question! We accept the IELTS, PTE or TOEFL tests. In the TOEFL test we are looking for a well-balanced score of at least 104. If you require a visa to study in the UK, the score report must be valid at the time you receive the CAS for the visa (which would normally be around June-August).
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further queries!
      Kind regards
      MSc Admissions Team

      • Good day.

Thanks for your reply and I got one more question, for IELTS I found 3 kinds of exams, UKVI, academic and general. I would like to know which one of these exam is the one that should take and submit.

        • Hi Woosong
Thanks for your question – we accept both the UKVI and Academic IELTS tests. We do not accept the general test.
          I hope this helps!
          Kind regards
          MSc Admissions Team

  31. Good day, please are you able to confirm if the MSC Finance program full time and Online MSC Finance program are run from the same department. if so kindly provide the contact details for the department as i do not see a link to information on the Online MSC Program from this page.

    Thank you

    • Hi Oyenwen
Thanks for your question! The MSc Finance and MSc Global Finance (online) are administered by different departments. The MSc Global Finance team can be contacted through this webform – https://online.cass.city.ac.uk/contact.htm or you can call them on +44 (0)20 7269 7410.

  32. Dear MSc Admissions Team,

If I am interested in several master courses eg: Finance and Entrepreneurship, can I apply for two courses, or even a master and/or MBA?

If yes, what are the specific rules for applying to several courses?

    Thanks,
    Onno

    • Hi Onno

Thanks for your question! You would only be able to submit one application for a Specialist Master’s degree, so please submit the application for your first choice. On the application form you will be able to nominate a second/third choice course. If your application is not successful for your first choice it will be passed to the second choice, and so on; however, if your application is successful for your first choice you will not be considered for the second choice. Applicants can only have one active course application at any time.

Please note that the MBA requires a separate application – please apply separately for the MBA if you wish to be considered for it.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further queries!
      Kind regards

      • Hi MSc Admission Team,

thanks for the answer above. Well understood.

As for the MSc no GMAT is required, however for people who are still in preparation for it, but face problems as due to Corona the test centres are closed atm.

Is there the option (like some other universities have) to hand in the GMAT results slightly delayed, by like 4-6 weeks? And since it’s not mandatory, it could just be handed in as “add-on” later?

This would allow people to wait a little longer before taking the test and the test centres might be back open by the time. The online GMAT test as alternative is reportedly an absolute nightmare and since no working and writing paper is allowed to be used, not at the same difficulty of examination.

        • Hi Onno
Thanks for your query! Since we do not require the GMAT as a compulsory entry requirement for our MSc degrees, you are welcome to submit an application without a GMAT score. However, if you are planning to take a GMAT and would like your score to be taken into consideration by the admissions panel when they review your application, then it would be better to wait until you have taken the GMAT before submitting your application to us. Unless you feel that you need a high GMAT score in order to enhance your application, we would encourage you to submit an application now and we will review it without the GMAT result – this is because we do not know when GMAT testing centres will reopen.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further questions!
          Kind regards

        • Hi MSc Admission Team,

thanks for your help, much apprechiated! One last question: if I have lived and worked 5 years in an English speaking country (with proof), is it still required to take an English test such as TOEFL?

Also, who would be the resposible admission officer for the MSc. in Entrepreneurship, as I had been told (in yesterday’s info-call) to contact him or her for some further questions.

          Thanks and best regards,
          Onno

          • Hi Onno
Any decision regarding the English would be made by the admissions panel upon receipt of your full application, so I’m afraid I am not able to comment on this aspect. It would also depend on your immigration status. I recommend that you submit an application and we will let you know if we require proof of English.

I hope this helps, and please let us know if you have any further queries.

  33. Hi Team,
I intend to apply for the September 2021 intake for Msc Insurance and Risk Management course and have 2 queries on which your kind help would be appreciated:

    1) In the Finance section of the application form, there are 2 options namely self funded or sponsorship/scholarships/others. I am planning to apply for loan from a finance company. In this case, what should I select from the 2 options?

    2) I am currently pursuing a distance PG Diploma Course in Finance Management. The expected date of completion is January 2020. As my University does not issue interim transcripts, i want to mention the modules name in my application. However, i do not see an option to include such qualification. The other qualifications tab implies professional degrees only. Please suggest where should i include these details? (Passed modules plus current modules)

    • Hi Namrata
      Thanks for your questions!
      1) I would recommend that you put ‘self-funded’. It doesn’t matter if this information changes later in the process.
      2) You can upload extra documents in the application form – there are extra field for this. If you don’t have access to an interim degree transcript, but you have an online portal for your PG Diploma course which shows any grades you have received to date, I would recommend taking a screenshot of the portal (ensuring that your name is visible somewhere). You can then upload the screenshot to show your progress to date on the course.
The guidance and screenshots in this blog post are a little old, so you may find that there are changes in the application form when you apply for 2021 intake.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further queries!
      Kind regards

  34. Hi Team,

Thank you for your response. Could you please help answer my other query as well:

How much time is given to a student to fulfil the requirement of completing IELTS in the conditional offer letter? I am asking this as i have my PG Diploma exams which i have to prepare for and may need considerable amount of time to prepare for IELTS.

    Thank you,
    Namrata

    • Hi Namrata
Thanks for your question! We would strongly recommend that offer-holders provide their English test results to us by June.
      I hope this helps!
      Kind regards

  35. i am not able to open the immigration history form on the website. it says ‘Page Not Found’ when i click the link in the application form.

    what should i do?

    • Dear Gaurav
Thanks for your question! We are aware that there is currently a glitch in the online system, whereby the immigration history form is not showing correctly. We apologise for the inconvenience. Please leave this section blank if it allows you to (or upload a copy of your passport if it is a mandatory field). Your admissions officer will send you the immigration history form by email to fill in at a later stage in the application process.
      I hope this helps!
      Kind regards

  36. Hello Team,

I was grunted a pre-settled status and I provided the document on my application proving that.
My question is, do I have to complete the immigration history form in that case?

    Thank you

    • Hi George
Thanks for your question! If you have sent your Admissions Officer the code to enable us to verify your pre-settled status online, then you do not need to complete the imigration history form.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further queries.
      Kind regards

  37. Dear Recruiter,

My name is Eloide, I have sent my application for the MSc Marketing Strategy & Innovation course on March 8th. My referees did not get the reference link, weren’t they supposed to get the link within 24 hours after submission?

    Regards,
    Eloide Vilbrun

    • Dear Eloide
Thanks for your query! We have recently changed the process for receiving references, and for the majority of courses we now only require references for applicants who are made an offer. Therefore, if you are made an offer on the course we will contact your referees at the time that we send the offer email.
I hope this clarifies, but please let us know if you have any further questions.
      Kind regards
      MSc Admissions Team

  38. Hello Team,

At what point during the admission process will I be asked to fill an immigration history form.

    • Hi Taiwo
Thanks for your question. You will be able to fill it out and upload it as part of the application process. If you do not complete it at that stage then you will be sent the form either when your application is acknowledged, or if you are made an offer. If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact your Admissions Officer.
      I hope this helps!
      Kind regards

  39. Hello Team,
I would like to ask something regarding the immigration history form. If I don’t live and I have never lived in the UK should I tick the box outside of the UK when I am asked “If successful in receiving an offer to study at City, will you be applying for Student Visa inside or outside of the UK?”
    Thank you

    • Hi Andrew
Thank you for your question! Yes, if you have never lived in the UK you will need to tick the box ‘outside the UK’. It is only possible to apply for a student visa within the UK if you are currently in the UK on another visa type that allows you to switch into a Student Visa (such as a Work Visa, but not including a Visit Visa).
      I hope this helps!
      Kind regards

  40. Hello Team
I have a question regarding the ielts test, if I already got accepted.
What if I do not meet the Ielts requirements ? Is there any chance to still get in with a pre-university english course?

    Regards,
    Ali

    • Hi Ali
Thanks for your query! If you do not meet your English language condition, please contact your Admissions Officer directly at that time for advice.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further queries.
      Kind regards
