The project ran from September 2019 until August 2021. We:

• developed the 6 training modules – The Language Therapy in Sign Language course
• hosted national workshops in the UK, Spain (Web-based 21/5/21) and Portugal (Date TBC)
• ran an international conference online in June 2021. This was attended by participants from 30 countries.

 

Here’s our plan for module development was:

Sept-Dec 2019	Develop modules 1,2 and 3 in UK, Spain and Portugal
Jan – April 2020	Develop and pilot modules 1,2,3 in UK, module 2 in Portugal and module 3 in Spain
May – Aug 2020	Final versions of modules 1, 2 and 3 created including feedback from Deaf Language Specialists and SLTs. Start to develop and pilot modules 4,5 and 6 in English and BSL
Sept– Dec 2020	Final versions of modules 4,5 and 6  Share modules 1,2 and 3 with more learners.
Jan – April 2021	Share and adapt more modules if time and funding allows
May – Aug 2021	Share modules with external partners, upload to EPALE and identified hosts for sustaining use of the modules developed. Investigate future funding for further development of training for Deaf Language Specialists
