We had funding from the Erasmus+ programme of the EU for this project from 2019-2021.
We were lucky to have a team who are all passionate about supporting children to develop the best language skills they can. People from Spain, Portugal, Brazil and the UK developed training involving Speech and Language Therapists and Deaf Language Specialists. Our first team meeting was in London in October 2019.
Since then, Felipe, Ana, Sebastio and Helena have worked on modules in written Portuguese (European and Brazilian) and Brazilian (Libras) and Portuguese (LGP) Sign Languages.
Arancha, Mar, Marina and colleagues have worked on modules in written Spanish and Spanish Sign Language (LSE).
Ros and Joanna have worked with SLTs and Deaf Language Specialists in England on modules in written English and British Sign Language (BSL). Kate Rowley, a Deaf linguist, and Lenka Novakova, a Deaf Advisor of NDCAMHS and National Deaf Adult Serives, have also contributed to the development of the modules.
