Maggie Parks MSc BSc (hons) RN is currently Lead Nurse for Practice Education and Non-Medical Prescribing at East London NHS Foundation Trust, rated ‘outstanding’ by the CQC. Maggie qualified as a Registered Nurse (Adult) in 1986. She has extensive clinical experience in medicine, surgery and older people’s nursing, and specialised in cardio-thoracic and high dependency nursing. During her career she has worked as a Staff Nurse, Sister, Matron, General Manager and Lead Nurse, as well as in Professional Development. Maggie has a passion for building a supportive culture where staff confidence and capabilities can flourish and positively impact patient care and staff satisfaction/retention. Maggie studied at City University where she gained a first class BSc (hons) degree in nursing and a MSc (with merit) in Leadership and Management. During her career Maggie has been nominated many times and received Chairman’s Awards for her clinical leadership and work in professional development
