It’s a new dawn…, it’s a new term…., and it’s new books and other resources at the Library!
Indeed, people tend to think of summer as a quieter time for libraries, but we have been busy making sure there’s a lot on offer for the start of term. Whether you are a new or returning student, you will find lots of new resources in the Library.
Recent online resource additions include Ebook Central’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Collection, STATdx database for radiography students, as well as SAGE Campus training resource for your research skills, which also includes introductory courses on things like Python or data mining. Our SMCSE students will find new e-book collections from MIT Press, Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), IEEE-Wiley, Morgan & Claypool, among others, on CityLibrary Search. To find all databases for your course, have a look at our Database A-Z list, or enter your keywords on CityLibrary Search to discover e-books.
If you are going to visit us in person at Northampton Square Library before the end of September, make sure to pass by Level 5 where we have set up a display of some of the new print books we have recently added to the collection – feel free to browse and borrow them! Some of the books have been purchased via our user-led book schemes that you can use to tell us what you need for your studies in addition to the resources on your reading lists. You can see what books we’ve recently purchased based on your recommendations by browsing the “Your Choice” reading lists.
