Following a recent change you will notice that you now log into an increasing number of online resources through the IT login screen. The new links will make it much easier to move seamlessly between online library resources. Old links will continue to work in the background as we make this transition.
The IT login screen varies depending on whether you’re on campus or in City web space. The format in which you need to enter your username and password may vary depending on the version of the login screen you see…
Version 1
A page with the City logo and the message ‘sign in with your organizational account’
- Enter your City email address in the first field
- Enter your City password in the second field
- Select Sign in.
Version 2
A pop-up saying Sign in and https://fed.city.ac.uk
- Enter your City username in the format abcd123 in the first field
- Enter your City password in the second field
- Select Sign in.
Version 3
A Windows Security pop-up with the message ‘Sign in to access this site. Authorisation required by https://fed.city.ac.uk’
- Enter your City username in the format abcd123 in the first field
- Enter your City password in the second field
- Select OK.
Library Account login
To log into some online resources it is still the Library Account login screen. This is a page with the message ‘Login to your Library Account. City students and staff:’
- Enter your City username in the format abcd123 in the first field
- Enter your City password in the second field
- Select Login.
