Alison Davies,a professional story teller, ran a small story telling session this week giving a taste of the workshops she runs with academics around how to use story telling. language and creativity to improve the teaching and learning experience. We participated in exercises designed to enable us to turn events into stories and explore different types of stories. This gave us a new perspective and also tools to engage people and explain concepts.
We created our own stories and came up with a number of ideas for using stories in our own work and sessions. Expect to see more stories at future LDC sessions!
