Changing the Learning Landscape is tasked with enabling higher education institutions in England to bring about change in their strategic approaches to technology in learning and teaching. It is a partnership between the Association for Learning Technology, the Higher Education Academy, JISC, the National Union of Students and the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education. The partnership is funded by Hefce.
Susannah Quinsee, Annemarie Cancienne, Annora Eyt-Dessus, Jo Richardson and I met with Lawrie Phipps, representing both JISC and the Leadership Foundation to discuss our needs and how we can use Changing the Learning Landscape consultancy days and development opportunities. We outlined our current situation and challenges. This included discussing LEaD as a newly formed directorate, the significant changes experienced by the Educational Technology Team over the past year, and how we harness the talent, passion and experience within the teams to impact on the learning experience at City. Activities we may engage in together in the coming months may comprise of team building, leadership development, vision or strategy work, workshops and activities with other departments or groups.
