This conference focused on both the challenges and opportunities created by the changes that technologies have brought about over the last few years. The sessions covered both tools that people were using and views on the benefits of these and how to enhance them as well as reflecting on where all this might be leading and the possibilities.
The key notes sessions by Grainne Conole and Helen Beetham provided an opportunity to reflect on where we were with developments. The parallel sessions provided a range of opportunities to get involved in active learning around technology. Darren Gash provided a helpful session on using Polleverywhere and Sandra Partington provided a hand on session using webinars and the tools available. The posters also provided some useful insight into projects such as Claire Power’son using the Smartpen with students with dyslexia and Chris Rowell with his bit size small courses on different technologies.
There were also good opportunities to network with colleagues across the sector.
