Celebrating our MAAP Graduates

On January 22nd, we had the privilege of celebrating the achievements of our MA in Academic Practice graduates at the Barbican Centre. This occasion marked the culmination of years of dedication, perseverance and commitment to professional development in higher education of these 12 colleagues.

The ceremony brought together graduates, academic team, family and friends to recognise the incredible journey our students have undertaken. Completing the PGDip or the MA in Academic Practice is no small triumph; it requires deep engagement with teaching, learning and research, all while balancing demanding professional responsibilities and busy personal lives. And celebrating the achievements is an important part of the process.

Our graduates have not only developed their skills in teaching and researching higher education but have also made meaningful contributions to their institutions and students. We hope this achievement serves as an inspiration to colleagues currently on the programme, showing that the hard work and dedication invested in professional development truly pays off.

  1. Dear Team,

Thank you for the wonderful graduation ceremony. It was truly special to celebrate this achievement with fellow graduates, family, and faculty. Your guidance and support throughout the MA journey helped transform my teaching practice and understanding of higher education.

The skills gained have already enhanced my students’ learning experience, making all the hard work worthwhile. I’m grateful to have been part of such an inspiring cohort.

    Best wishes,
    Teo Ssemakula
