The Digital Education Team have released their calendar of Moodle 4 workshops and drop-ins for staff. The full programme of events will start in June and run through to the start of the academic year in September.
The team will be running two separate online Moodle 4 workshops. Each will run at least once a week across the summer.
One workshop will concentrate specifically on Moodle 4 for support staff and course officers. This workshop begins running on June 26th, 2023, to allow support staff to upskill in advance of the launch of Moodle 4 on July 17th, so they can support teaching staff.
The other workshop will be focused on Moodle 4 for teaching staff and will start running on July 18th, 2023.
The team will also be facilitating weekly drop-in sessions where staff can come along for hands-on help with their modules. The majority of the drop-ins will be held in the LEaD training room (B310, University Building). Two drop-ins will be held at Bayes, Bunhill Row on August 3rd and September 15th, 2023.
Please note that the drop-ins are designed to let you ask specific questions about how to use Moodle 4 for your module. They are not alternatives to the online sessions, which will introduce you to all the changes in Moodle 4.
From August onwards (dates TBC) the team will also be running Moodle Basics for New Teaching Staff, for any staff who have joined City during the summer.
See the LEaD training calendar for full details, times, dates and locations of each session and to sign-up for the online workshops.
