This post is part of a series of blog posts introducing what’s new in Moodle 2.8. This post provides an overview of the improvements to Moodle Forums.
Forums are used in modules to encourage communication, collaboration and debate among students.
- You can now set up a single scale rating such as ‘Like’ to enable students to like Forum posts, Glossary or Database entries. This feature could be used to engage students in contributing to Forums as they would be able to see that their posts were of value to their peers.
- Drafts of Forum posts save every minute.
- You can now subscribe to individual discussions within Forums.
This screencast introduces the improvements to Forums in Moodle 2.8.
