Moodle will be updated on 24/25 July 2018. The focus of the Moodle 3.4 update will be on redesigning City’s Moodle. The requirements for the re-design of City’s Moodle have been informed by three years of user evaluation with staff and students. Synergy Learning have been selected as City’s partner to provide visual and front-end design expertise to:
- Re-design City’s Moodle so that it is visually engaging with a modern and professional look and feel that reflects the branding guidelines of the university.
- Ensure that Moodle is easy for staff and students to use and navigate across a range of devices, while building on the customisations that are popular.
- Provide a consistent and engaging layout with clear minimal click navigation to ensure students with diverse IT skills are able to use Moodle effectively on their chosen device and can access the information they need when they need it.
Synergy have taken all the feedback we have gathered over the past three years and developed a concept for City Moodle. They are currently working with us on a prototype for City’s Moodle.
We will be inviting staff and students to participate in Focus Groups to give feedback on the new concept. Once we have agreed the Focus Group dates we will be in touch via the blog, mailing lists and CityWire to invite you to participate in these.
