LEaD is pleased to open the Call for Abstracts, for the Learning at City Conference, which takes place on the 1st and 2nd July 2020 at City, University of London.
There is much discussion about teaching excellence with the introduction of the TEF however the key to this is teaching that inspires. Cohen & Jurkovic (1997) identify this is the most powerful component of learning and refer to terms such as inspiration, surprise, fun and creativity whereas others have focused on the magic and capturing the imagination of students (Harden & Crosby 2000 and James 2001).
The overall theme for the conference is Teach to Inspire: Showcasing best practice in education
Within this theme there are a range of sub-themes:
* Curriculum design and review
* Assessment design
* Learning and teaching approach
* Activities and strategies that support students through their programme
We invite you to submit a proposal to the conference to share your practice, innovations and pedagogic research.
